For Imran Bhaidani, Head of Project Development, and his business partner Arif, that perspective has been shaped not only through years of development experience, but also through a shared passion for travel, hiking, architecture, and the outdoors.
They are partners in business-and partners on the trail.
Together, they have made it a personal goal to experience as many of America’s National Parks as possible. Their journeys have taken them through remarkable landscapes including Mount Rainier, Zion, Yellowstone, Arches, Canyonlands, and Yosemite, with many more still on their list.
These experiences are more than an escape from work. They continually influence how they think about development.
Nature as a Teacher
Spend enough time in nature and you begin to recognize that nothing exists entirely on its own.
A forest is not simply a collection of trees. Rivers shape landscapes. Trees provide shelter. Wildlife depends on vegetation and water. Mountains influence weather. Seasons bring cycles of growth and renewal. Every element occupies its own place while contributing to something much larger.
There is a lesson in that for developers.
A successful development cannot be viewed simply as a building placed on a parcel of land. It becomes part of an existing environment-one that already includes people, neighborhoods, businesses, infrastructure, history, economics, and the natural landscape.

Our inspiration does not stop at the trailhead.
Travel provides an opportunity to experience towns and cities with completely different histories, identities, architectural traditions, and approaches to growth. We are equally fascinated by historic architecture that has endured for generations and modern buildings that demonstrate how communities are evolving.
Whenever possible, Imran and Arif enjoy staying in historic lodges, hotels, and accommodations-places where the building itself becomes part of the experience.
There is something powerful about entering a structure built decades, or even a century, ago and discovering that it still feels relevant to its surroundings. Many historic lodges in extraordinary natural settings were designed with an understanding of scale, materials, views, climate, and place. Rather than competing with their environment, they became part of its identity.
Those experiences reinforce an important idea:
The best buildings do more than serve their immediate purpose. They create a relationship with the place around them.
Seeing Development Through a Wider Lens
Every development decision creates a ripple effect.
